AcuLink™ Secure Remote Access meets PCI requirements for activation and automatic disconnect of remote access technologies and Web Filter for content filtering and protection from malware and malicious attacks.
LAS VEGAS, NV: Monday October 8, 2018 — Acumera, Inc., a leading managed security services provider for c-store networks is launching new security features, loyalty connection services, and a new partner program at the NACS Show 2018.
“2018 was a busy year for Acumera and our clients. Our roadmap focused on enhanced security features to simplify our clients’ PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliance efforts and protect their networks as the breach landscape evolves,” states Dirk Heinen, CEO, Acumera. “We’re introducing AcuLink Secure Remote Access and a new, more powerful cloud-based web content filtering service.”
AcuLink™ Secure Remote Access
Acumera developed AcuLink™ Secure Remote Access to provide PCI-compliant, high-speed remote access to the fuel retail industry’s leading point-of-sale systems from Gilbarco, Verifone, and Wayne. Perhaps, more importantly, AcuLink Secure Remote Access ensures a secure remote connection that remains PCI-compliant during remote sessions. AcuLink Secure Remote Access meets PCI DSS requirements 12.3.8 and 12.3.9 that mandate all retailers who process payment cards have policies, procedures, and controls that grant remote access to the card data environment and POS only when required. Additionally, the solution includes an automatic disconnect of the remote session after a predefined period.
Web Filter Content Filtering
Acumera’s new cloud-based web content filtering tool blocks malware and phishing attacks at the DNS level to protect c-store business networks. Web Filter’s policy controls also prevent access to inappropriate content, which is essential for retail business and restaurants who offer public Wi-Fi. Public Wi-Fi is now a retail customer experience staple, Web Filter’s controls can be configured to block inappropriate content that can negatively affect the brand of family-oriented businesses.
“Simplifying how our clients manage their networks so they can focus on revenue-generating technologies is at the core of what we do,” says Heinen. “Our new Loyalty Connection Apps bring clients’ loyalty programs online more quickly and with less complexity so they have a high-available connection between their loyalty provider and their POS.”
Acumera is also launching a new partner program that offers different structures depending on the business goals of potential channel partners. The program is designed to help Acumera partners expand their business opportunities and generate additional revenue streams while offering their customers enhanced security, and services that simplify network management.
Acumera will be on hand next week in Las Vegas during the 2018 National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) annual show to talk about all of their security and connectivity services in the technology pavilion, booth #6456. For more information about Acumera, visit acumera.net.
